Eng. Saja Albayati participated in the Iraqi Women and Civil Society Forum – Leadership and Impact, moderating a session addressing the protection of women from cyber violence and online blackmail, as well as digital awareness, cybersecurity, and entrepreneurship.

As part of the Iraqi Women and Civil Society Forum – Leadership and Impact, held under the theme “Towards a Sustainable and Innovative Future,” Engineer Eng. Saja Albayati moderated the forum’s second session, with broad participation from civil society organizations and stakeholders concerned with women’s issues and sustainable development.

The session discussed the role of civil society organizations in addressing cyber violence and online blackmail against women, emphasizing the importance of digital awareness and cybersecurity and providing women with the knowledge and tools needed to protect their data and accounts and safely address risks and challenges in the digital environment.

The discussion also highlighted the importance of empowering women in entrepreneurship and digital transformation, expanding their opportunities to participate in the digital economy and innovation, and strengthening their economic independence and contribution to sustainable development.

AlBayati participated in her capacity as President of Hala for Sustainable Development and Executive Director of Al-Baydaq Information Technology (BIT), reflecting her support for initiatives that bring together community development and technology and contribute to creating a safer and more empowering environment for women.

The forum, organized in cooperation with the Prime Minister’s Advisor for Civil Society Organization Affairs, Ms. Sarah Allawi, brought together more than 50 civil society organizations specializing in women’s issues and sustainable development, alongside government, legislative, and international representatives.

AlBayati emphasized the importance of investing in digital knowledge, digital awareness, and women’s technological empowerment as essential tools for addressing emerging challenges and strengthening women’s participation in development, innovation, and building a more sustainable future.
