Eng. Saja Albayati Attends the Baghdad Conference on Youth, Peace and Security and Highlights the Role of Young People in Shaping Iraq’s Future

Eng. Saja Albayati attended the Baghdad Conference on Youth, Peace and Security, which addressed youth-related issues and their role in promoting peace, strengthening security and contributing to a more stable future for Iraq.
The conference discussed several themes related to United Nations Security Council Resolution 2250 on Youth, Peace and Security, highlighting the importance of expanding youth participation in public life and supporting their involvement in peacebuilding and the prevention of extremism and violence.
The sessions also emphasized the importance of empowering young people and providing supportive environments that enable them to develop their abilities and transform their ideas and energy into practical initiatives and projects. The discussions further highlighted the need for stronger cooperation between state institutions and civil society organizations.
The conference was attended by several officials and specialists, including Dr. Akram, representing the Ministry of Youth, Mustafa Shawi, Dr. Ahmed Al-Khafaji and Shireen Al-Jaf. The dialogue was moderated by Sara Salam.
Eng. Saja Albayati praised the efforts made to organize the conference and emphasized that youth empowerment is no longer an option but a national necessity. She stressed that young people are essential partners in shaping policies and contributing to a safer, more stable and prosperous Iraq.
